Basic Function
The Team Member Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the company’s fast-paced Team Member Resources department.
Major Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date Team Member Resources files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level TMR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of Team Member Resources files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of TMR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the TMR department in terms of processing of new hires, terminations, tracking Employee PTO, employee recognitions and other duties related to Team Members.
- May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
- Acts as liaison between employees and Abel HR for payroll, benefits and employee leave.
- Conducts or assists with new hire onboarding and orientation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Assisting with or preparing correspondence/Memos/SL-Emo’s as requested
- Processing weekly Payroll Functions as primary Back up for TMR department.
Job Qualifications
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Experience & Education:
- HS Diploma or GED required, associate degree (AS) in related field preferred.
- 1-2 years prior related office experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
- Bilingual – Fluent in English and Spanish
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
