CHHA - Long Hours

We are in search of a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to offer assistance to our clients, with a particular emphasis on aiding in the transfer of a client weighing approximately 250lbs. The preferred candidate should have the physical strength and ability to safely and seamlessly facilitate transfers, prioritizing the client's well-being and dignity. The caregiver must be vaccinated for COVID-19 and hold an active Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification in the State of New Jersey. Must be able to work between the hours of 9 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Provide companionship to client.
• Provide personal care, Incontinence care, assistance with activities of daily living.
• Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation. Assist client with medication reminders.
• Provide support for mobility, transfers, and positioning to client.
• Should be able to work in a household that has pets and with a client who smokes.
• Encourage and support client to maintain as much independence as possible.
• Adhere to care plans crafted by our RN.
• Maintain care-notes for accurate and timely records of care.
• Adhere to infection control and safety policies and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Must have active Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification in New Jersey.
• At least one year of proven experience in delivering personal care.
• Excellent communication skills and a knack for fostering positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Current CPR certification.
• Reliable transportation for visiting client at their home.
• Compassionate, dependable, and dedicated to delivering exceptional care.

Additional Requirements:

• Updated physical examination and PPD (tuberculosis) test completed within the last 12 months.
• Documentation of MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccination.
• Valid Social Security Number (SSN) and valid Immigration Documents, as applicable.
