Job Summary
The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Human Resource Department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Assist in recruiting new employees, currently through LinkedIn, Indeed, & ProfJobs. Duties include: reviewing applications, conducting and/or scheduling preliminary interviews & maintaining accurate records of active job openings and received applications; managing internal and external job postings.
- Conducts new hire orientation & prepares new employee paperwork.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, charity events, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, etc.
- Creates/manages employee engagement & employee turnover reports.
- Maintains calendars of HR related activities.
- Creates and disperses e-cards and flyers for employees and company events.
- Verifying I-9 Form documents, completing I-9 form and maintaining the Employee I-9 files.
- Assists with processing of terminations.
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Schedule/Hours:
- Must be available Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm.
- 40 hour work week.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or related fields.
- Prior office experience preferred.

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
