Dickson Frohlich Phillips Burgess is a mid-sized law firm seeking a full-time Human Resources Administrator. Operating at a mid to upper level HR Generalist capacity, this position plays a crucial role in supporting various HR functions within the firm. Duties involve a combination of administrative tasks, employee relations support, and HR program management. The individual in this role will play a vital role in helping maintain a positive workplace culture and strong employer-employee relations, ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations, and assisting with the implementation of HR programs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in HR administration or generalist roles.
- Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Positive and friendly demeanor.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations
- Address employee queries, concerns, and conflicts, and facilitate resolutions.
- Act as a point of contact for employee relations issues, collaborating with the Firm Administrator or Managing Partner as needed.
Recruitment, Onboarding and Offboarding
- Assist in the recruitment process, from job postings to candidate interviews and selection.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities including employee portal access, orientation/exit interviews and documentation.
HR Administration
- Manage and maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection laws.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and communication with employee and the payroll team as needed.
Policy Implementation
- Assist in the development of HR policies.
- Implement HR policies and procedures consistently throughout the organization, under the direction of the Firm Administrator or Managing Partner.
Training and Development
- Coordinate and track employee training programs.
- Assist in identifying training needs and collaborating with Firm Administrator on development initiatives.
Compliance
- Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance in both Washington and Oregon.
- Assist with reporting, audits and investigations as needed.
HR Programs
- Support the implementation and administration of HR programs, such as performance management, employee recognition, and wellness initiatives.
Communication
- Contribute to internal HR communications, ensuring employees are informed about HR policies, programs, and initiatives.
Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a seated or standing position working at a desk. Repetitive actions like using a mouse and keyboard, looking at computer monitors and using the phone will be daily components of the work. Occasional travel between offices is required.

Hybrid work of 3 office days and 2 remote days weekly, is approved for this position, following an initial training period.
