Job Description
Opportunity:
Your initial focus is leading and managing the recruiting function. You will pro-actively manage D’Artagnan’s recruiting process from the identification of passive and active candidates, through screening to the onboarding of new employees. You must be able to build and leverage sourcing networks to fill hourly (non-union), exempt and non-exempt positions across all functions of the business, from operations and logistics to sales, marketing, technology, and finance roles.
With your 2 - 4 years of HR Generalist experience, as you become proficient in this role, you will have the opportunity to grow your career by taking on expanded HR responsibilities.
You are the subject matter expert providing guidance and advice to all levels of management as they fill open and new positions to upgrade their teams. You must also be able to engage in all other aspects of human resources such as benefits management, coaching, OSHA reporting, workman’s compensation, unemployment, and wellness programs.
To be successful you must have the ability to partner with managers to advance business strategy and be desirous of joining a growing dynamic company.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Consults with managers to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified open position(s).
- Manages the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and the posting and passive recruiting processes to identify and select potential candidates
- Establish and maintain networks to identify candidates for targeted roles
- Local Universities
- Culinary Schools
- Targeted Networking Groups on social media platforms
- Establish and maintain networks to identify candidates for targeted roles
- Screens candidates, selects qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase, and then connects viable candidates with hiring managers
- Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations
- Manages Workers Compensation, unemployment processing and OSHA reporting
- Coaching managers/employees to enhance employee relations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field required.
- Two to four years of HR Generalist experience
- At least one year of recruiting experience required.
- Experience with Human Resource Systems (ADP system a plus)
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills
- Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, FMLA and other related employment laws and guidelines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual desired, not required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

- Base salary plus annual bonus potential. Base salary is commensurate with experience.
