Tribute Baking Company is the strategic combination of three businesses with rich histories in the baking industry! Always Bagels, Original Bagel, and Hometown Foods USA, together, create a market leading producer of authentic New York style kettle-boiled, hearth-baked bagels and high-quality cake products sold into the in-store bakery, club store, foodservice, and convenience store channels.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the bilingual Human Resources Generalist will enforce the Company's Human Resources policies, programs, and practices, as well as support safety programs and initiatives in both the New York and New Jersey facilities. To be successful in this position, you should be positive, possess strong customer service and communication skills, and demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities.
The position can be based in our West Caldwell, NJ or Bohemia, NY location and will be required to travel 2-3 times per month to the alternate facility to provide support on-site. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM, including weekends as required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Address employee grievances, administer performance reviews, and ensure legal compliance
- Maintain current job requirements, oversee the recruitment process and conduct new hire orientation
- Maintain up-to-date onboarding processes and training procedures and deliver training
- Chair the Health & Safety committee and oversee safety policies and programs, ensuring a "Safe place" culture through training and safety initiatives
- Safety responsibilities involve implementing policies, managing OSHA compliance, actively participating in food safety and quality initiatives,
- Social responsibilities include maintenance of records for annual SMETA assessments and completing social responsibility reports, upholding labor standards, environmental programs, and business ethics policies
- Manage and lead staff to excellent performance
Requirements:
- 5 years of HR experience with a minimum of 2 -3 years in an HR Generalist capacity
- Experience supporting employees in a manufacturing environment required, food manufacturing preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent HR Generalist experience is required
- 3 years of demonstrated experience leading onsite safety programs and committees
- Experience working in a regulated environment
- Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in the following computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. ADP a plus
- Verbal and written fluency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred
- Must have reliable transportation to travel between sites

The Bilingual Human Resources Generalist will be required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, overhead reach, fine manipulation, and move continuously during work.
