Job Description
The Human Resources/Payroll Administrator will perform a broad range of HR-related duties to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency and compliance. Responsibilities include backup payroll support, administration of employee/HR compliance reporting and governance, invoice processing, and additional duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compiles and prepares relevant HR metrics and reports including, but not limited to monthly labor reports, federal and state reporting and internal departmental requests.
- Processes purchase orders for invoices from vendors, including but not limited to temporary staffing agencies and benefit billing.
- Leave of Absence administration to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations including EEO, ADA, FMLA/CFRA/PFL, etc.
- Conducts full employment cycle audits to ensure job postings and employee records are maintained in accordance with established Company policies and state and federal regulations, including I-9 form management.
- Keeps all human resources forms up to date and in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Assists with planning and executing company engagement activities and HR-related events and processes including years of service, organization charts, HR suggestion box, health fairs, etc.
- Serves as backup in the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of weekly and semimonthly payroll processing; maintain up-to-date knowledge of city, state, and federal legislation affecting payroll.
- Supports HR processes and actively participates in efforts to streamline and improve HR activities and processes through technology.
- Works closely with other members of HR to ensure consistency across locations.
- Support other tasks and projects as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- ADP Workforce Now payroll processing experience required.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices; strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); advanced working knowledge of Excel.
- Strong interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual English-Spanish a plus.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and adheres to high standard of professional conduct.
Education / Experience:
- Minimum 3 years payroll processing experience.
- 3-5 years HR experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A) from an accredited college/university in Human Resources, Business Management, or related degree.
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
