The HR Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that an organization's HR functions are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational policies and practices. Supporting and partnering with the HR Managers and department generalist to apply your expertise in HR laws, regulations, and best practices, as well as your ability to manage employees and systems, are key to your success in this role.

What You’ll Do: Day to Day Human Resources. Special projects as needed.
Who You Are: You have at least 2 years of prior experience as a HR Representative or HR Specialist. You enjoy helping those in need, are in good physical health, and have access to reliable transportation. You’re responsible, compassionate, patient, dependable, understanding, and committed to providing the best care possible!
Note: You will be required to complete caregiver training sessions, pass standardized exams, and learn proper safety and emergency procedures.

Day to Day responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support for all HR functions
- Assists with recruitment activities and events
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Completes employment verification, references, and background checks for assigned new hires - Maintains employee files
- Processes change of status forms and updates files accordingly
- Audits new hire files monthly for compliance
- Responds to all requests for information and telephone inquiries in accordance with established standards and procedures
- Prepares required compensation, disability, employment verification forms.
- Responsible for being cross trained in all phases of HR processing for multiple entities.
- Performs related duties as assigned and unrelated duties as requested
- Maintains confidentiality of all information
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
- Ensures compliance with existing state and federal government employment laws
Qualifications:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED
- Proven experience in a HR position in a fast-paced environment required.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in payroll, accounting, human resources or a similar role
- Experience with BeyondPay preferred
Physical Demands & Environment
Working in normal office environment, employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, use keyboard, see, talk, and hear. Up to 25% travel time required. May occasionally lift objects of 10 to 25 lbs.
