Hr Specialist - Customer Service

ROLE AND PURPOSE:

• To provide clerical and administrative support for the Human Resources Customer Service department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

Experience:

• General office skills
• Proficient typing, keyboarding, telephone and fil maintenance skills.
• Ability to use person computer and software to develop spreadsheets and word processing.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) including good telephone etiquette and Customer Service skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision
• Bilingual (Spanish), preferred.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Provide exemplary Customer Service to all district employees on first level humanresources issues
• Complete verification of employment requests
• Complete the on-boarding process during new hire orientations
• Respond to incoming human resources email and the Customer Service queue
• Process records requests, change of address requests, change of name requests, etc.
• Work extensively with the TEAMS district program
• Prepare reports and perform other related administrative duties as required and/or needed.
• All other duties as assigned by Director or Manager.
