The recruiter position is responsible for interviewing, testing and referring applicants for clerical, clinical, technical, administrative, and management positions throughout the company. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices. The HR Representative will also serve as an expert for recruiting candidates and overseeing job shadowing or clinical assignments by designated area of either Student services or Volunteer/Intern services
Responsibilities
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Processes job requisitions.
- Coordinates with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s) and to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
- Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, social media etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Develops advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
- Coordinates appropriate employment testing.
- Conducts employment verifications.
- Conducts orientation of new employees.
- Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
- Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
- Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Maintains employee referral program.
- Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
- Completes weekly report on employment activity.
- Conducts exit interviews with terminating employees.
- Completes unemployment claims and provides company representation at unemployment hearings.
- Initiates and builds partnerships with educational institutions to develop and coordinate student opportunities for the organization.
- Develops and maintains internship, job shadowing and clinical assignment policies and procedures.
- Maintains student database to ensure all students are meeting the required legal and regulatory guidelines established for their assignment.
- Assists with marketing strategies to connect students to SIH opportunities.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Communications/Marketing, Human Resources or related field.
Licenses and Certification
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
Experience and Skills
- Technical Experience: 2 years of Marketing and/or HR experience
