Job Description

The Global HR Solutions Lead is expected to be an integral part of the ITW Corporate HRIS team with a functional and technical understanding of Human Capital Management, Compensation Plan Design & Talent Acquisition administrator experience. The role is responsible for the daily support of global projects that involve Workday, Compensation plan design within Workday and lead select system implementations over the next 3+ years.  In addition, this role will be the primary Talent Acquisition technical platform support and global expansion lead across the enterprise.   The Global HR Solutions will lead projects related to simplifying 20 projects across the enterprise that fall outside of the 80 initiatives that may involve HR Reporting, Audits, system module’s re-designs, USa’s, and operations for a growing global team that include (Americas, EMEA, Asia). This role will report into the Global Leader of HRIS and spend 40% of their time working closely with Compensation and Talent Acquisition Corporate functional teams. 

This person will act as an internal consultant to global HR stakeholders and be part of a team of Workday specialists that sit in Corporate HR and partners with Divisions, Corporate Functions, Information Technology and Human Resource peer groups. You will be expected to closely collaborate with teammates across the globe and ensure we are maximizing our Workday and Talent Acquisition investments that support the enterprise objectives and employee experience. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide day-to-day operational and implementation support for Workday HCM, Talent Acquisitions, and other ancillary applications in use to support all tasks and activities that align to ITW’s Workday Roadmap such as:

  • Monitor Global HR system (s) usage activities. Identify new, existing, and recommend changes to HR Leadership.
  • In conjunction with relevant stakeholders, creates and implements new and revised processes, system enhancements, and workflows to ensure global compliance with Workday, Advanced Compensation & Recruiting system roadmap that support the Enterprise objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with key business partners to enhance the integration of Workday requirements into their divisions.
  • Consult on new business and technology initiatives to ensure compliance requirements are incorporated to mitigate risk.
  • Conduct testing and support user acceptance testing; assess and test Workday upgrades or integrations as appropriate.
  • Proactively recommend improvements to improve the end user experience and system process efficiency
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation regarding supported systems/applications.
  • Understand HR functions, as well as network technology functions and their terms, methodologies, and processes.
  • Ability to work independently in a diverse, decentralized environment and effectively collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to learn and incorporate ITW’s Compensation Framework and apply to Workday application to support Enterprise initiatives.
  • Eager to learn and continue to grow in the Workday Ecosystem with a focus on Advanced Compensation and Recruiting, and develop a mindset to master building and configuring within Workday.
  • Operating with a sense of urgency/a self-starter who thinks ahead.
  • Leveraging knowledge of the business to develop solutions balancing business needs with Enterprise mindset.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business Information, Computer Science, Human Resource
  • 3+ years of working directly with HR Leaders is required
  • 4+ years of Compensation Management, Compensation Certification, and Enterprise planning experience is required
  • 5+ years of Progressive Human Resource Management experience with a focus on Talent Acquisition, Compensation Management is required
  • 5+ years of system administrative experience involving HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Retirement, Performance and Data Analytics is required
  • Experience working with Workday, SAP Success Factors, ICIMs, SmartRecruiters and/or Peoplesoft.
  • Advanced Excel Skills, Data Modeling and/or Power BI knowledge
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
