As a HR Site Manager/Training & Development Specialist, your primary role involves spending significant time on the manufacturing and warehouse floor, acting as a consultant to your team, and directly observing how you can continually drive the business forward. The HR Site Manager is responsible for assisting employees with daily queries and concerns, collaborating with management on associate-centric initiatives, and supporting HR functions such as talent, training and development, benefits and wellness, payroll and compliance, HR transactions, and administrative HR responsibilities.
The Learning & Development Specialist function of this role will work in collaboration with our business and HR team to identify talent development needs, set priorities, and define necessary outcomes that directly influence rapidly evolving business priorities and objectives. This specialist is responsible for ensuring the delivery of effective learning solutions that align with the Strategic Plan.

Schedule: Primarily working Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM, with overtime on an as needed basis.
- Administer day-to-day activities pertaining to labor relations issues for the manufacturing facilities by serving as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations matters, providing guidance, conflict resolution, and coaching.
- Administer routine HR activities for individual employees by location and working with proper channels for the activities (job changes, comp changes hiring, terms, investigations, etc.)
- Build strong relationships, internally within the HR team, with internal partners, as well as plant/site group key leaders. This includes conducting 1:1s with client group key leaders at the Plant Manager and/or Supervisor level.
- Support and facilitate all safety related initiatives.
- Promote positive employee relations and foster a culture of open communication and trust.
- Oversee human resource administration on an ongoing basis with a standard of excellence - benefits and 401k, recruiting and on-boarding processes for hourly and salaried positions, team member upgrade procedures, day to day team member relations, training, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Support and help with the management of the on-boarding training schedule that is efficient and effective per new team members and that feedback session are set up in Weekly10.
- Work with benefit/wellness specialist to manage employee disability & leave information, including supporting the interactive process with the employee.
- Work with site leadership to make sure that all payroll processes are been followed to make payroll accuracy and resolving issues quickly and effectively.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of ADP and support during implementation of UKG HRIS systems.
- Work with the rest of the HR team and leadership team on designing, implementing, and evaluating employee development programs that align with our organization’s strategic goals.
- Responsible for conducting assessments of organizational development and departmental training needs. Analyzes assessments to determine learning and development needs.
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, evaluations, and key performance indicators. Continuously improve learning and development by monitoring and enhancing training based on participant feedback and performance of employees.
- Will work with the rest of the HR team to create and manage a training calendar for all related and training activities.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience in a labor relations work environment which involved interpreting and explaining labor agreements, grievance issues and other labor relations activities strongly preferred.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Able to build trusting relationships with all levels of employees.
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations regarding HR issues.
- Degree in Human Resources. Experience will be considered in place of educational requirements.
- Experience developing and leading performance/talent management programs helpful.
