Hr Generalist

Ultimate Care NY, a leading provider of home health care services, is seeking a Home Care HR Generalist to join our team. As a Home Care HR Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting the HR department by handling various HR functions and providing assistance to employees. Ultimate Care NY has been serving the New York community for over 20 years, providing high-quality, personalized home health care services that meet our clients' unique needs.

• Manage the disability claims process, including coordinating with insurance carriers and disability management providers
• Review medical documentation and work closely with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely adjudication of claims
• Provide guidance to employees on the leave of absence process and disability benefits
• Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to disability claims and leave management
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to disability claims
• Collaborate with HR team members to ensure compliance and consistency in HR practices
• Manage unemployment claims from start to finish, including filing claims, gathering necessary documentation, and providing timely responses to unemployment agencies
• Conduct investigations and gather information related to unemployment claims
• Collaborate with HR team to gather relevant information for appeals and hearings
• Ensure all new hires complete required paperwork and meet compliance standards
• Conduct background checks and verify credentials
• Coordinate and conduct orientation sessions for new hires
• Onboarding & Off-boarding Employees

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in HR, preferably in the home health care or healthcare industry
• Proficient knowledge of HR processes and employment laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation: $50,000-$60,000 annually
