DT&S Machinist plays a key role supporting research and maintenance activities for all Opco’s at the Richmond Technology Center
Responsibilities include:
Receive work direction from Shops Lead Coordinator.
Machine parts using CNC Lathes, CNC Mills and Manual Lathes, Mills, and other Shop equipment.
Fabricate new custom parts and recondition existing ones.
Repair pumps and machinery.
Vessel service and repair
Interpret Blueprints to provide material list for new projects.
Scope out new work orders and provide estimates.
Orbital weld on process tubing and new single use reactors.
Fabricate and design specialty brackets and supports for critical components in new project builds.
Assist pipe fitters and welder when needed with their work scope.
Mentor and train new contracting Machinist in site specific skills and safe work practices.
Initiate work permits, job site hazard analyses, JSA, IHE, Hot work permits and confine space work.
RequiredQualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid Drivers License
Basic computer Skills
Good oral and written communication skills.
The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on his or her skills, experience, and qualifications. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.
The anticipated salary range for this position is$89,400 – $134,000 .
