The HR Generalist will perform some or all of the functional areas: employee relations, training, new hire orientation, and company and department compliance.
The essential functions of the HR Generalist may include the following:
- Conduct engaging and informative new hire orientations, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for our brilliant minds.
- Collaborate with various departments to coordinate the assimilation of new employees into the company culture.
- Responsible for tracking, record keeping, and assisting employees with personal life events - such as, Military Leave, Jury Duty, and changes in employment status.
- Assists department with ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across multiple groups. Must have experience dealing with multi-state requirements.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
- Assists in the development of multiple affirmative action programs; runs reports and completes EEO-1 and VETS-4212 annually for management review and filing; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Collaborate with our insurance providers to manage and optimize our business insurance policies. Manage workers' compensation matters promptly and effectively.
- Be a key player in ensuring complies with the highest standards. Assist in maintaining compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) AS 9001.
- Manage and oversee the drug testing program, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Tracks, maintains, and monitors data and provides necessary reports as needed.
- Conducts regular communication with employees to ensure positive employee relations.
- Manage the out-processing procedures with empathy and efficiency making farewells as positive as possible.
- Helps maintain the Human Resource page on company Inside Site.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The top candidates possess the ability to maintain confidentiality, conduct themselves in a professional and ethical manner and effectively communicate across multiple groups. The HR Generalist should feel comfortable researching various topics as assigned, demonstrate the ability to present ideas, and work with a team to find a solution. Flexibility and a willingness to learn is must for this position.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Must possess a strong ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability with prioritization and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years general human resources experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Workday HCM
- HR Certified - Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
- Experience with DOT requirements.
- Knowledge of preparing Affirmative Action Plans.
