Description
Snow College is successful because of its people, and this position is critical in helping managers provide accountability and a great employee experience. This person will facilitate daily HR functions like keeping track of employee records and supporting the HR team with general administrative responsibilities. The HR Coordinator must be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations. They must help managers and employees to consistently and fairly apply personnel policies and management best practices, build relationships across campus, and help the HR office make Snow College a great place to work for those who want to serve our students and community.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position.
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating System, Office 365, and Teams.
  • Working knowledge of NEOED, Banner, Handshake, Team Dynamix, Omni CMS, Canvas, DOCS, and/or DocuSign preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communities.
  • Familiarity with social media recruiting.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Human resource certifications is an advantage.
  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or relevant field preferred.

Major Responsibilities/Duties
  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.
  • Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team.
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.).
  • Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing letters of appointment, etc.
  • Assist supervisors in performance management procedures.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events, training, etc.
  • Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback.
  • Support other functions as assigned.
  • Screening applications.
  • Preparing onboarding presentations.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment.
  • Maintaining data in human resources information systems.
  • Completes special assignments and projects as required.

362 PART-TIME EMPLOYEE PRIVILEGES
April, 1997; Rev/May, 2000 (Effective July 1, 2000)
Definition.
A part-time adjunct faculty member is employed at less than 75% time annually and teaches at least one credit hour or more.
A part-time staff member is employed at less that 75% time annually. The employment time is three continuous months at an average of 15 hours a week.
Student hourly employees are exempt from the part-time privileges of this policy.
Privileges.
Upon authorization by the hiring department, part-time employees as defined under this policy will be issued a Snow College Part-Time Staff/Faculty Identification Card at the time of hire. The card entitles the holder to all of the privileges associated with a Full-Time Staff/Faculty Identification Card including, but not necessarily limited to, general admission or discounted prices for athletic and cultural events; Snow College library card issuance; computer network, Web, and e-mail access; bookstore sponsored discounts; and other discounts associated with the ID card at either campus. Supervisors have the right to terminate the privileges at any time during the fiscal year.
Non-inherent Privileges.
Privileges of full-time employees such as, but not necessarily limited to, college parties or gatherings, professional development activities, office/computer/telephone access, current expense budgets may be provided to part-time employees only at department discretion.
