Overview
As an HR Compliance Specialist at Foundever, you will support various HR teams as the primary point of contact for HR Compliance inquiries, and provide guidance and instruction on HR Compliance programs, procedures, background check policies and screening processes. You will use strong judgement and reasoning skills to assess potential risks and develop suitable suggestions. Responsibilities
- Handle all daily incoming requests from Onboarding to review candidate criminal records, using established guidelines to determine eligibility for hire.
- Navigate background screenings on our vendor’s online portal to evaluate case details.
- Process requests from talent acquisition and onboarding teams about candidate background screening issues to explain case notes, troubleshoot, &/or escalate to vendor appropriately.
- Partner with HR Shared Services to initiate the separation and dispute communications for employee transfers with unacceptable background checks.
- Review and respond to various requests to reconsider deficient backgrounds for possible eligibility on different programs.
- Act as primary point of contact for inquiries and provide guidance and instruction on HR Compliance programs, procedures, policies
- Partner with HRC management to process Field HR reports of employee arrests/convictions; consult and suggest appropriate actions
- Participate on HRC panel for inspection of photo and identity documents
- Cross-train to provide backup to HRC team members on audit and I-9 related tasks
- Assist HRC management with other tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Human Resources degree (a plus, not required).
- 1+ years of related work experience (Administrative, HR, Recruiting, Legal)
- Attention to detail, organizational skills; ability to prioritize, follow up, and accomplish multiple tasks.
- Awareness of US employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to convey information clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
- History of maintaining confidentiality and using discretion when sharing highly sensitive information.

- Capable of using strong judgement and reasoning skills to assess potential risks and develop suitable suggestions to assess and mitigate risk to the company
- Ability to take ownership of completing assigned functions and show initiative to recommend continuous improvement.
- Understanding of US and Canada onboarding, human resources practices.
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint.

Salary Range
The base pay range for this position in the United States is $24.00 - $25.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience.
