Job description

Ardurraseeks an HR Compliance Specialist to join our team.

Primary Function:

The ideal candidate will act as the company, employee, and immigration attorney’s liaison, ensuring accurate tracking, guidance on immigration, compliance procedures, policies and reporting. Open to remote employee.

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct regular internal audits to identify any areas of non-compliance and if necessary, recommend corrective actions to address them.
  • Manages the process for creating and maintaining Human Resources Policies and Standard Operating Procedures, and communication.
  • Maintain a close relationship with the HR Business Partners Team and Talent Acquisition regarding immigration cases, requesting case-related information as needed, and keeping the business and the employee apprised of case updates as they become available.
  • Maintains compliance with I-9 Records and E-Verification requirements.
  • Knowledge of purpose and content of Affirmative Action Plans necessary. Work with vendor to prepare plans annually – provide data, respond to questions from Vendor, and coordinate process to see Plans to completion.
  • Respond to OFCCP audit if scheduled.
  • Responsibility for annual filing of EEO-1, California Pay Data Reporting, and Veterans 4212 Employee Reporting.
  • Assist in the development, reporting, and updating of immigration compliance, regulatory, and procedures to ensure that the organization complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for the management of employment-based non-immigrant visa applications handled by external counsel.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A minimum 5 years’ experience in human resources, management/compliance, business administration or a similar field.  
  • Must have proven experience with business acumen in immigration regulations, compliance procedures, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong self-awareness, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team environment.
  • Has a proven track record of developing and fostering relationships with business leaders and cross-cutting functional teams. 
  • Keen awareness of and sensitivity to maintaining confidentiality across all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource is a plus.
  • Experience in the engineering industry or a related field is a plus.
