Temp (880/hrs; 5 1/2 months)
Key Responsibilities:
• Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure that our HR policies and practices align with these laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with HR leaders to develop and update HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees and HR staff. Ensure that employees understand their rights and responsibilities.
• Conduct regular internal audits to identify compliance issues. Prepare and submit reports to HR management outlining findings and recommendations for corrective action.
• Maintain accurate and organized records related to HR compliance activities, including audits, training records, and compliance-related communications.
• Assist in investigating compliance-related complaints or concerns, working with HR and legal teams as needed.
• Serve as a point of contact for HR compliance-related inquiries from employees and management. Communicate compliance updates and changes effectively within the organization.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, HRCI) is a plus.
• Proven experience as an HR Compliance Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
