JOB TITLE: HR Specialist - Compliance & Organizational Effectiveness
JOB FUNCTION: Coordinate agency activities to ensure compliance with ethical or regulatory standards. Conduct organizational studies and evaluations by gathering and analyzing agency and employee/psychometric data to identify scientific best practices that assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
REPORTS TO: CHRO/CFO AED of People and Resources
LOCATION: The Arc Building
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and further the Mission of The Arc of the Quad Cities Area.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources, Fiscal, and other departments to maintain compliant reporting, processes, and procedures. Assist internal or external auditors and surveyors in compliance reviews.
- Verify that all regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
- Stay current on psychological knowledge and continue education in Human Resources, employment law, risk management, and other relevant financial and business operations aspects.
- Assist with the development, communication, implementation, and dissemination of operation of compliance and Organizational Effectiveness programs and activities.
- Use observational and evaluative research methods to conduct Organizational Effectiveness analyses and provide research-driven suggestions for best practices and interventions to optimize workplace performance, resolve issues, and improve retention. Monitor and update these processes as needed.
- Support the human resources and the fiscal department on a day-to-day and project basis as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Maintain experience with using analytics for topics listed above.
- Human Resources or organizational administrative experience.
- Computer skills in word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications are required.
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with others required.
- Strength and flexibility to lift parts, equipment, and supplies required.
- A valid driver's license in good standing is required.
