Job Overview:
Boateka is looking for a talented Human Resources (HR) and Employee Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our team at Boateka. This individual will have a positive impact on our employee base by facilitating the day-to-day HR function, as well as championing safety initiatives and monitoring the wellbeing of both.
What will you be doing?
Human Resources
- Support All HR Functions Required to Manage the Day-to-Day Operations
- Provides Onsite Support for Boateka Employees at Merritt Island
- Data Entry and Employee Set Up
- Employee File/Records Maintenance
- Orientation Preparation
- Offboarding Communications
- Payroll and Timekeeping
- Coordination of EE Celebration and FUN!
- Seeks Approval for and Posts Job Requisitions, Assist with Recruiting and Onboarding Processes
- Roll Out Communication and Ensure Employees are Informed
Employee Health & Safety
- Action Plan Preparation
- Assist in Injury and Illness Investigation and Reporting
- Training Tracking and Compliance Monitoring
- Subcontractor Tracking
- Weekly Safety Discussions
- Tracking of Safety Checklists
- Initiate, Promote, Implement and Maintain Safety Protocol, Initiatives and Programs
- Approved Driver and MVR Management
- Update Safety Handbooks/Manuals and Keep Safety Communications Up to Date in Facilities and Online
- Participate in Safety Committee
Additional Responsibilities:
- Anything Else Needed or Asked Upon
- Possess a certification as an HR Professional OR have completed HR coursework in a post-secondary education degree program
- Possess a high level of technical expertise, ability to apply skills to continuous process improvement while maintaining maximum levels of safety
- Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities
- 1-5 years supporting the implementation and promotion safe work practices and policies
- Experience with accident investigation, workplace inspection and job hazard analysis are preferred
- Understanding of safe work practice requirements and recommendations
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and other common applications
