HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
We are looking for a motivated and result-driven HR analyst. In this role you will set the strategic direction for HR information systems, and analytics at Ferrotec. Will oversee and maintain optimal function of the organization's internal HR information services systems.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
To be successful as an HR analyst, you will possess an important level of business acumen as you will need to translate analysis into business language and application. You will be expected to pay meticulous mindfulness and have excellent communication and presentation skills.
This newly created role will also help set the company direction for data analytics. They will work with the HR Director and the HR leaders to identify key HR metrics, set appropriate benchmarks and provide analysis on the organizational health of the company. They will assist other key functions (compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, etc.) across the HR community in their efforts to identify measurable goals and assess progress.
The position will manage the data integrity, reporting requirements, user education and support of the HR systems. In conjunction with Corporate IT, they will provide technical expertise and consultation to HR and the businesses they support.
This person will report to the Human Resources Director and will work collaboratively across the HR team, and in partnership with IT. This role would ensure that their HR information is accurate, secure, and available as needed.
Essential Functions:
  • Collect and compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management, and employee surveys, Exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitor's practices, and other sources.
  • Based on metrics and analysis, make recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance.
  • Build and maintain HR Dashboard and manage relevant HR metrics for business leaders to address improvement areas.
  • Analyze data and statistics for trends regarding recruitment practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws.
  • Prepares reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to senior leadership.
  • Identify, recommend, and assist with systems and process improvements.
  • Provides data support for various audits.
  • Assist with filing of 5500, EEO-1, and other compliance reporting as needed.
  • Review practices and recommend ways in which to improve the hiring process and selection of the best candidate for a job.
  • Work with Benefits team to analyze plan offerings and recommend options to reduce cost and improve offerings.
  • Partner with Compensation team to evaluate roles in the organization and recommend options to streamline jobs and align compensation plans.
  • Manage the annual Associate Opinion Survey process, analyze the results, and lead discussions on how to implement initiatives to improve key areas.
  • May conduct or assist with conducting classification audits to ensure that jobs are properly classified as exempt or nonexempt.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • May guide and/or assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.
  • Create and maintain process documents and training materials for all systems as applicable
  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure that HR meets organizational needs. Should any new companies be acquired, this position will be responsible for setting up the integration plans.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience as Data analyst, preferably in an HR environment
  • Elevated level of discretion, confidentiality, and ethics
  • Ability to collaborate well with employees in a highly multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong diligence and accuracy
  • Initiative-taker with ability to work independently, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Ownership mindset and ability to meet tight deadlines with a logical, methodical approach to prioritizing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Workforce planning and Budgeting experience
  • Commercial awareness, ability to think both analytically and strategically, to identify underlying business issues.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and propose improvements in existing processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Minimum of 5 years with system integrations
  • Microsoft Office and Sharepoint proficiency
  • At least five years of database management or related experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
Physical & Environmental requirements:
  • Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Constant sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
  • Prolonged use of computer monitors.
