This is an exceptional opportunity to combine your passion for equitable access to recreation with your grant management skills. You will serve as a King County liaison for partners and agencies awarded federal funding.
The successful candidate will:
  • Ensure compliance with King County and Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery ("CLFR") funding requirements.

  • Manage CLFR grants and contracts within the County's established CLFR policies and procedures.

  • Process requests for payments while ensuring appropriate supporting documentation.

  • Certify closeout of executed agreements by ensuring all contractual requirements were completed and appropriately documented.

  • Conduct outreach, provide technical assistance, and manage relationships with a variety of internal and external key stakeholders, such as grant applicants, grant recipients, community partners, and internal partners (both virtually and in-person).
  • Manage contracts in compliance with regulations and funding parameters; expertise in developing, tracking, and amending scopes of work, budgets, work plans, and contract deliverables.
  • Strong ability to prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, and multi-task
  • Follow standard operating procedures for contracting, invoicing, reporting, and contract compliance.
Qualifications You Bring:
  • Experience supporting the grant lifecycle including community outreach, technical assistance, application review process, contract development, contract monitoring, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability in proficiently managing deadlines, efficiently multitasking, and swiftly prioritizing tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a variety of multi-disciplinary partners

It Would Be Great if You Also Bring:
  • Working knowledge of grant priorities such as equitable access to youth programs, and recreational programs, supporting sports and physical activity, and creating/improving recreational facilities.
  • Provide customer service to public agencies, community-based organizations, and nonprofit and grassroots coalition partnerships.
Working Conditions:
  • Remote and Onsite Work Details: Employees in this role work remotely from a home location, with onsite reporting requirements typically weekly or monthly. The frequency of onsite work is determined by business needs and may be adjusted accordingly. Onsite reporting locations may be at various King County worksites including the collaboration space at King Street Center (201 S. Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104). This work arrangement promotes work-life balance and reduces carbon footprint under the department's vision of Green Where We Work.
  • Remote Work Location Requirement: Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance to King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements.
  • Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
  • Union Representation: This position is not represented by a union.
  • Duration: This recruitment aims to fill a Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) position with an anticipated end date of 12/31/24. If the position is filled by a King County employee who has successfully completed their initial probation, they will be offered the role as a Special Duty Assignment.
