Full Charge Bookkeeper

We seek an individual who desires a trusted role to replace our retiring bookkeeper. We require the experience and leadership qualities to perform the work described. Responsibilities include direction of all bookkeeping, leadership of other staff, and associated duties. Accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness required. Professional character references required. Familiarization training will be provided.

Bookkeeping

• QuickBooks Enterprise software
• Balance Sheets & Income Statements monthly
• Balance & Reconcile Internal Accounts monthly
• Balancing & Reconciling Bank Accounts monthly
• Job-cost Tracking & Reporting
• Equipment depreciation tracking

Human Resources

• Bi-weekly Payroll: Withhold taxes & insurance; W2's; etc.
• Employee On-boarding
• Health Insurance Administration: Insurance negotiations; Employee enrollment & assistance
• Cafeteria Benefits Administration (AFLAC, Life Insurance, etc.)
• 401-K Administration: Timely reporting & filing; Working with service providers; Employee enrollment & assistance

Accounts Payable

• Subcontractors: Balance invoicing; Track costs; Track insurance & reports
• Purchase Orders: Track costs
• Monthly & misc. payables
• 1099 & other reporting
• Assigning costs to correct accounts, jobs, and categories

Taxes

• Work with CPA as required
• Report & pay sales tax as applicable
• Quarterly Reports & Tax Payments
• Pay taxes correctly & timely

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
