We are a local Hardwood Importer in the Hayden, Idaho area seeking a full time highly skilled and detailed-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in financial management and accounting practices, with a particular emphasis on QuickBooks proficiency.
Bookkeeping Duties:
- Prepare and file financial statements
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile company accounts.
- Process Company Payroll.
- Work with accountants as needed.
Tasks to include but are not limited to:
- Accounts Payable - Inputting and reconciling vendor invoices, printing and preparing checks.
- Accounts Receivable - Inputting customer invoices, posting payments, sending statements when needed.
- Payroll - Inputting payroll, transmitting payroll. (We pay our employees semi-monthly.) Review employee timesheets, address any discrepancies.
- Bank Reconciliation -- Reconcile bank accounts to ensure accurate transaction records.
- Financial Reporting - Update financial data daily. Assist with preparing the monthly financial statement by reviewing and reconciling various accounts, making journal entries, and communicating reports to owners, banks and CPAs.
- Records Management - Keeping all records accurate, up to date, organized, and filed.
- Other Duties – Assisting with basic customer service functions such as answering phones, taking messages, and routing communications through the proper channels.
- Oversee and enhance financial and accounting systems, processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with management to share reports and analysis.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting. With at least 3+ years relevant bookkeeping and accounting experience.
- Expertise in QuickBooks.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Especially Excel.
- Strong Analytical skills, problem solving, and decision making skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills as well as time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills working with staff and customers.
- Ability to wear multiple hats.
- The ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary.
- A positive and professional attitude.
Benefits Offered:
- Salary Range: $52,000 - $63,000. Compensation will be based on experience and ability.
- Medical/Dental/Optical Insurance after 60 days - Company pays 80% of premium for Employee
- PTO of 40 hours after the first 90 days. Plus 6 paid holidays.
