Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our outpatient office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations. Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify insurance information and collect necessary patient data
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
- Handle patient inquiries, resolve issues, and provide accurate information
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk area
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred
- Familiarity with behavioral health procedures and medical terminology is a plus
- Proficiency in electronic medical software is highly desirable
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
