Family Medical Receptionist Responsibilities:
Coordinating the daily activities, including scheduling appointments, patient check-in, check-out, answering phone calls and patient medical record maintenance.
Patient insurance verification
Taking patient copays and payments
Working with patients’ prior authorizations
Scheduling lab / imaging appointments for patients
Assisting with Medical Assistant duties when needed.
Obtaining and recording patient medical histories, vitals, current medications, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
Front Office/ Receptionist Requirements:
Two years minimum experience in a medical office setting preferred, but not necessary.
Have high school diploma, or equivalent.
A basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, coding procedures, reference tools, and appropriate clinical pharmacology for medical practice scope.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management and customer service skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical health care record systems.
Must be able to pass back ground check and drug test

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
