Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage
- Collect co-payments and process payments using our billing system
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized office
Experience:
- Proven experience working with phone systems and handling high call volumes
- Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role is preferred
- Knowledge of medical administrative support procedures is beneficial
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements is essential
