The role of a veterinary receptionist is to provide an exceptional standard of care for all patients and clients through offering a friendly greeting by phone and in person. Receptionist must be well-spoken with excellent communication skills while presenting a compassionate nature when working with clients and their pets.
It is the responsibility of the veterinary receptionist to answer phones, schedule appointments, create, maintain, and organize client and patient medical records, financial transactions, and be able to admit and discharge patients. It's important that a veterinary receptionist is able to multi-task and be a team player.
Receptionist needs to have computer skills and will receive training to operate the clinic's software.
