Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our dental office, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dental office setting and possess strong administrative skills.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary paperwork
- Enter patient data into electronic medical records systems, Dentrix.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information about our services
- Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or similar customer service role is preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy
- Knowledge of phone systems and basic office equipment
