Front Desk Coordinator and Lead Scheduler for Imaging Center

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, greeting patients and processing all patient paperwork efficiently, escorting patients to exam rooms as needed, answering all incoming phone calls, scheduling of same day or STAT exams in coordination with technologists, and working effectively with all members of the radiology team.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficient in typing and filing
Insurance Verification --helpful but not required
Competent in the use of office equipment and computers
Duties Include but not limited to:
1. Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone
2. Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
3. Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette
4. Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized
5. Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information
6. Insurance Verification – must be able to retrieve insurance pre-authorizations prior to patient coming for their appointment
7. Facilitates patient flow by notifying patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff
8. Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders, and monitoring office equipment
9. Implement patient confidentiality by making sure protected health information is secured and locking the computer before leaving it unattended
10. Confirms all appointments in a timely manner
11. Possess accurate judgment, especially handling charges and dealing with patient accounts
12. Responsible for collecting payment prior to exams as applicable, keeping accurate log of payment and accurate daily batch of credit card receipts.
13. Performs other duties as assigned by Management
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: High School Degree
Licensure: None
Previous Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a receptionist or clerk in a medical environment
Language: Bilingual is a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
