PART-TIME POSITION
Summary
Answer telephone and walk-in inquiries from debtors, creditors, attorneys, and other parties regarding bankruptcy cases. Assist with general office duties to aid in the administration of bankruptcy cases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer all telephone calls within 3 rings.
- Provide answers to inquiries from debtors, creditors, and attorneys using the software application.
- Transfers calls to appropriate party within the office and direct callers to their attorneys when appropriate.
- Fax/mail/email status reports.
- Enter notes in the bankruptcy software application concerning priority mail payments.
- Assist with various basic bankruptcy case administration tasks.
Requirements
- Read and comprehend instructions, discussions, correspondence, and memos in English.
- Hold a conversation in English and communicate ideas in an understandable manner.
- Comprehend legal and bankruptcy terminology.
- Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish).
- Basic computer skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Capability to handle difficult situations and difficult people in a positive and professional manner.
- Skilled at defusing escalating situations and understands when to report calls to management.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and adhere to and meet deadlines.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must maintain confidentiality.
- Credit/background check required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
