The critical component of the Receptionist position is to receive, screen, and direct telephone calls. The Receptionist answers general inquiries and provides information as needed and understands and exercises care regarding attorney/client privilege and confidentiality. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate with assigned attorneys, other staff, clients of the office, court and other agency personnel, and the public. The Receptionist will routinely spend their time in a Monday-Friday office environment.

Additionally, the Receptionist will:

· greet and direct visitors and monitor interior office access;

· operate general office equipment and assist other staff members with use of equipment, such as fax machines, postage machines, copiers;

· deliver court documents to the courthouse and other agencies;

· receive and route incoming mail and deliveries;

· assist staff with making travel arrangements; and

· other duties as assigned.

Progressively responsible experience provides the individual:

· a comprehensive knowledge of office clerical principles, practices, methods, and techniques;

· the ability to identify and evaluate pertinent facts and regulations, policies, and precedents;

· skill and judgment in the analysis of assignments;

· an understanding of receptionist and clerical duties in a legal environment;

· experience in a legal environment performing progressively responsible duties; and

· the skills and ability to execute the duties of the position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39,576.00 - $63,733.00 per year
