Medical Receptionist for a downtown Gastroenterology office

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and help them, schedule appointments, and maintain records and accounts.
• Welcome patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answer or refer inquiries.
• Keep patient appointments on schedule and notify patients of any delays.
• Ensure availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records. Record and update financial information, record and collect patient charges, filing, collecting monies.
• Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.

• Maintain operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
• Familiarity with phone systems.

• Previous experience with Electronic Medical Record software helpful.
