Medical Office Front Desk Receptionist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Front Desk is responsible for greeting and directing all patients and vendors to the services needed. The Front Desk personnel are required to support the mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives of Nashville Fertility Center and must demonstrate a commitment to provide quality service to patients, physicians, coworkers, and the public.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets and welcomes all patients, visitors, drug representatives, and vendors.
• Answers phone calls, takes messages, and provides appropriate information over the phone.
• Facilitates new patient paper work and answers patient questions regarding billing, IVF, and other fertility procedures.
• Distributes and collects the appropriate forms to the patient.
• Facilitates the prepping and maintaining of patient charts.
• Manages patient flow to include pre-visit preparation, assisting with the patient visit, and post-visit duties.
• Verifies patient information and puts armbands on all patients.
• Perform other assigned duties

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred. A minimum of 2 years of medical customer service required. Working knowledge of healthcare insurance preferred.

OTHER SKILLS

Communication skills, information collection and management, planning and organizing, attention to detail, customer service skills, adaptability, and confidentiality. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and diagnosis, general administrative, and clerical procedures preferred. Bi-lingual preferred
