Responsibilities:
- Supervises and responsible for promoting and maintaining Crowley's safety culture.
- Supervises the daily operations of a combined marine terminal and petroleum Tank Farm.
- Supervises and repairs equipment from power tools to hydraulic equipment.
- Supervises and maintains shop in clean and orderly manner.
- Supervises and assists in lifting, positioning, and settling of parts and materials under repair.
- Supervises the use of and uses welding torches, arc and gas welders in basic metal repair.
- Supervises the basic repairs in a variety of mediums.
- Supervises the layout repair, secure parts and supplies, clean and paint job when finished.
- Responsible for basic mechanical and electronic troubleshooting.
- Assists in maintaining basic shop supplies and parts inventory.
- Responsible for basic engine and machine repairs.
- Prepares reports, records work orders, and maintains daily/monthly records.
- Assigned duty as first responder to any company oil spill incidents.
- Will observe and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Able to work overtime as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Requires HAZWOPER certification.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- First aid and CPR certifications highly preferred.
- Five years petroleum industry experience with a minimum of two years' experience in a supervisory position required.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to calculate figures and apply fundamental principles of math as job may require.
- Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
