Shop Foreman/Mechanic

Fleet Manager / Shop Foreman: Immediate position available for individual to oversee fleet management and operations directing day-to-day shop activities and directing mechanic technicians. Looking for experienced and motivated person to maintain our fleet in working and safe conditions, communicate with mgmt. to assess repair priorities, and pro-actively oversee regular maintenance to ensure equipment functionality.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the shop operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity
- Supervise a team of shop technicians and provide guidance and support as needed
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repairs for equipment and vehicles
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies and parts
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards
- Work/Communicate with management team to ensure equipment is repaired as needed for crew/shift needs
- Conduct regular inspections to identify any potential issues or repair needs.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Must have experience in directing, hiring, and supervising mechanics.
- Knowledge in heavy and light duty equipment operations including front end loaders, dozers, snowplows, sanders, salters, standard size trucks, dump trucks, trailers.
- Time management skills with ability to keep crew motivated and on task.
- Maintain current safety procedures and implement new ones as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
