Facilities Maintenance Custodian

We are in search of a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Custodian to provide essential support to all Animal Farm Family offices and ensure the overall cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. This critical role encompasses a combination of maintenance tasks and janitorial responsibilities - view role details below!
Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in facility maintenance and janitorial work is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines
• Able to perform handyman tasks.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor).

Key Responsibilities:
Janitorial Duties:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors.
• Empty and clean trash receptacles.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.

Maintenance Tasks:

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs.
• Execute minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Assisted in monitoring and maintaining equipment, ensuring they were in good working order.
• Move and assemble new furniture pieces
• Hang various pieces of furniture

Safety and Security:

• Ensure that all safety and security protocols are followed.
• Identify and report any potential hazards or security concerns.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Groundskeeping and Exterior Maintenance:
• Remove snow and ice from walkways and entrances during inclement weather.

Supply Management:

• Monitor and replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies as needed.
• Keep an organized inventory of supplies.

Pay:
$20-25/hour
Schedule:
Mid-Day Shift (flexible)
40 hours/week

Hybrid between our three office locations
