Facilities Maintenance Technician
Boise, ID 83709
Shift: Mon- Fri 7am-4pm
Pay: $18-24/ hr (depending on experience)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door, or wall repair
Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof.
Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped.
Putting together furniture assembly and relocation.
Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
Provide janitorial services for the building (sweeping, moping, throwing out the trash, and vacuuming).
Work on changing lights and/or fixtures.
Low voltage electric repair.
Greets and directs contractors such as electricians, plumbers, HVAC, roofing, carpenters, etc. to the location of the issue.
Maintain flower beds and lawns, including planting, fertilizing, weeding, soil condition, pruning trees, mulching, and applying pesticides.
Prepare outdoor areas for various weather conditions.
Operates and performs service and preventative maintenance on landscaping equipment and power tools.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications, requirements and skills:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Storage and organizational items.
Designated work area and/or shop.
Familiarity with tools and equipment (lawn mower, hand tools, power tools, and snow blowers/plows).
Familiarity with sprinkler systems and other landscaping equipment
Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods.
