Job description

REGULAR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Facilities/Maintenance Support
  2. Mow lawns by safely using powered riding equipment or push equipment if needed,
    by using all required safety equipment.
  3. Trim weeds by safely using powered trimmer or by hand if needed, by using all required
    safety equipment.
  4. Trim shrubs or trees as directed by using all required safety equipment.
  5. Inspect grounds for trash and debris and dispose of properly.
  6. Perform landscaping duties as assigned, using material appropriate for the project.
  7. Monitor entrances and clean as scheduled.
  8. Sweep or blow off walkways to remove debris as required.
  9. Apply pesticides or weed killer as licensing allows to prevent infestations or weed growth.
  10. Maintain all chemical applications records.
  11. Operate safely and maintain grounds keeping equipment such as tractors, mowers, weed trimmers, chain saws, shovels, and hand tools.
  12. Remove snow from parking lots, sidewalks, doorways, and other assigned areas, including compactors and dock shelters. Keep windows clear of snow building up as required or directed.
  13. Apply salt to parking lot and pedestrian areas as required or directed.
  14. Maintain all snow removal and salt application records.
  15. Transport equipment, materials, or supplies between facilities, or pick up at outside vendors and deliver to company-owned facilities.
  16. Assist with maintenance repairs.
  17. Assist with preventative maintenance schedules.
  18. Support offsite projects as needed.
  19. Other duties as assigned.

 

BASIC WORK WEEK:

Hours: 40hours/week           Overtime?  If Needed

      M-F regularly, others possible 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. depending on need.

     

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Facilities, maintaining the grounds, and Maintenance experience or equivalent preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, and smell.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 56#, occasionally lift and/or move more than 75#, and infrequently push/pull greater than 115#. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor elements,
outdoor equipment, dust particles, ladders, hazardous chemicals and slight risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The working surface is natural ground and concrete.
