Position Title: Facilities & Maintenance Tech
Location: Conrad & Bischoff Idaho Falls, ID
Wage: $17/hr to $18/hr DOE
Position Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the facility and property by completing routine and preventative maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing minor and major repair or general maintenance work of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment at various sites including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier, and painting tasks.
- Assist to ensure all facilities are in working order and maintained. Ensure all maintenance activities in a facility are carried out efficiently
- Repairing and treating structures such as showers, floors, sinks, walls, carpets and roofs.
- Performing minor repairs, troubleshooting, and adjustment of locks on cabinets, locks, closets, desks.
- Repairing door hinges, cleaning plugged key slots, changing filters on ventilation, heating, and air conditioning units.
- Assist with coordination and completion of layout, building and installation of cabinetry.
- Ensures all facilities are in working order and maintained and reports any issues to the Facilities Maintenance Manager to be addressed.
- Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as needed or scheduled
- Assist with inspections of property and perform required maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain and uphold the quality and standards of the organization. Adhere to customer service standards.
- Keep and complete records for all maintenance and service activities conducted.
- Interact with other and all departments to ensure proper functioning of all systems in the facilities, including move, relocate and make adjustments to desks, chairs, and files as needed.
- Assisting with compliance and regulations for facilities and retail locations.
- Provide information to maintain inventory of machinery, parts, tools and equipment for the maintenance department.
- Employee must demonstrate safe work and risk management practices. Communicate and enforce all safety and security issues. Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or unsafe acts in accordance with Parkland USA's policy and procedure.
- Ensure that confidentiality of data collected and stored are maintained.
- Employee is expected to set priorities and meet deadlines. Employee is responsible for planning and carrying out assignments, resolving conflicts that arise, informing and coordinating with others as expected. Employee is accountable for insuring the technical accuracy of their work and maintaining good working relations, both internal and external to Parkland USA. Self-direction and motivation are also expected.
- Must meet performance expectations and complete all duties as assigned.
- Travel from site to site; inspect facilities, buildings and grounds for routine maintenance; prioritize repairs and renovations. Frequent travel by conventional means including motor vehicle within the region and to other locations as required-with approximately 90% travel within Parkland USA region.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to efficiently use various power and hand tools
- Clean driving record
- Methods and principles of general building maintenance
- Principles of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work
- Principles of heating, ventilation and cooling systems
- Occupational hazards and standard safety practices
- Basic mathematical principles
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
