Your Responsibilities
- Calendar & Meeting Management:
- Manages VPs' calendars by assessing meeting requests and scheduling appointments as appropriate. Ensures calendars are accurate, up-to-date, and proactively adjusts as needed.
- Partners with others to ensure room set up needs are communicated, assists with set-up, makes sure all training aids are working and available.
- Event Planning:
- Secures locations for offsite team events, coordinating catering needs including ordering meals.
- Plays a key role in providing suggestions and pricing options so that budget expectations are met. Negotiates with various vendors for services.
- Travel Coordination/Planning:
- Manages, schedules, and organizes all travel arrangements to include transportation, flight, hotel, and meal arrangements as needed.
- Prepares and coordinates expense reports and ensures timely processing and payment.
- Projects, Presentations & Problem Resolution:
- Provides support in preparing various presentations, using Microsoft Office Suite of tools, for various audiences.
- Handles details and information of a highly confidential and critical nature. Makes high level contacts of a sensitive nature inside and outside the company.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
- High school diploma required, prefer completion of college degree or equivalent experience in working with all levels of associates and leadership as well as experience with customers, vendors, and others
- Requires 5 years minimum experience in performing Administrative Assistant responsibilities prior experience supporting executives strongly preferred
- Strong Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
- Must be able to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Experience booking travel for multiple people and prior use of Concur a plus
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills to include communicating clearly
- Strong detail orientation and organizational skills
- Must be flexible and adept at handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines from multiple leaders
- Ability to deliver high level of professionalism and customer service.

As our Executive Administrative Assistant, Core Brands and Extended StayBrands you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we're located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.
Right now, our associates in corporate headquarters are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtual from your home office the remaining days.
