Event Coordinator/Planner-Catering Sales Associate

Baker’s Best Catering is a full-service catering company and has 39 years of experience providing clients with superior food and service throughout the Boston and New England area. Our events range from intimate to large gatherings for both corporate and social clients. Our commitment to quality and service are unmatched.

We are growing and are currently seeking an experienced Event Planner/Catering Sales Associate to join our team! You will be part of a team that works directly with clients to provide full-service catering and event planning services. You will manage events of all types and sizes, for both existing and new clientele.

Essential Job Functions:

· Work closely with sales managers and clients to coordinate all full service corporate and social events.

· Coordinate all details of events including preparation of kitchen orders, event notes, rentals, and beverage orders.

· Organize all logistics for events including floor plans, and other services as requested by the client; ensure that all requirements are communicated to the operations team and completed to the client’s specifications.

· Provide innovative ideas for displays and set-up.

· Communicate details directly with the off -site team to develop execution plans for events.

· Effectively communicate information and changes to all departments.

· Work with the Sales Manager to schedule site visits and attend client tastings for clients.

· Reconcile events and approve department invoices.

· Conduct project driven research as necessary.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years of event coordinating experience in the hospitality industry.

· Experience in event coordinating corporate and social events

· Strong oral and written communication skills

Must have strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.

· Excellent planning and organizational skills.

· Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Gmail, google docs
