Role Overview:
As the Payroll Coordinator for Sycamore Medical Management, you will be part of a rapidly growing and dynamic team at the largest plastic and reconstructive surgery practice in the nation. You will primarily work in an office environment, collaborating with HR, Finance, and other departments. This role may require occasional overtime during peak payroll periods, such as payroll processing deadlines. As a Payroll Coordinator, you play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing for the organization. Your attention to detail, knowledge of payroll regulations, and commitment to confidentiality are essential in maintaining payroll integrity and employee satisfaction. You will be responsible for processing weekly pay cycles.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Weekly timesheets/overtime monitoring for accuracy.
- Prepare ad-hoc payroll reports.
- Perform pay data entry using OnePoint HCM.
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.
- Work with OnePoint implementation staff to set up new tax jurisdictions.
- Complete yearly audits.
- Distributing paper checks.
- Processing wage garnishments.
- Manage employment verifications/inquiries.
- Review and adjust pay for raises and bonuses.
- Process/calculate commissions monthly.
- Handle incorrect payments and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensuring accuracy with weekly compensation.
- Set up new hires pay profile & workers compensation
- Set up necessary earnings/deduction codes
- Communicate with broker regarding new workers comp codes
- Pay out monthly reimbursements
- Ensure upkeep of payroll records
- Complete weekly payroll reconciliation
- Pay monthly bills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- 1-2 years of knowledge of payroll processing
- Experience using OnePoint HCM is a plus
- Must be able to perform payroll entries, with knowledge of federal and state tax principles
- High proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite
