Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Technician
Position Summary:
As Asset Management Services (AMS) Technician (or EAM Technician), you are an expert in the field of installed assets. In this role, you will provide walk down and verification of installed assets and develop best practices maintenance job plans and procedures. The technician will focus on efforts surrounding a customer's SAP EAM transition. You must be knowledgeable of how computerized maintenance management systems (preferably SAP) function in the deployment and use of maintenance job plans. You will stay informed, educated and trained on innovations and developing new concepts within your field that will continually improve our processes to deliver client value.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for successful implementation of client engagements by:
  1. Physical verification of assets and the relevant asset data
  2. Review and verification of asset data from blue prints, shop drawings, P&ID's, spec sheets, etc.
  3. Facilitating asset hierarchy review aligned with ISO 14224 and other asset hierarchy standards
  4. Review and optimization of current maintenance job plans
  5. Implementing AMS /RE work-stream step-change performance improvements
  6. Providing knowledge transfer to client, teaching them to implement the improvement changes
  7. Working side-by-side with the client's personnel and teaching/training them through on-the-job training while augmenting their workforce to expedite a project benefits.
  • >80% utilization, typically on one project, but could be spread over more than one
  • Promote the LCE Brand, domain expertise, reputation, and credibility through publications, workshops, speaking engagements, etc.
  • Continuous innovation to keep LCE a leader in their field of expertise
  • Develop and deploy new offerings/continuously improve current offerings
  • Develop business opportunities by assessing client financial and operational capabilities, suggesting revisions to client operational work methods, facility layout and/or machinery, tools and equipment (Opportunity Assessments).
  • Ensure best practices by implementing and sustaining RCG best practices and systems including: reliability, plant, and maintenance engineering, planning and scheduling, materials management, and change management.
  • Promote multi-discipline applications by understanding industry specific project planning/scheduling technologies, maintenance engineering, operations and project control systems.
  • Support RCG projects by preparing work scopes, estimates, mobilizing small - medium size projects and monitoring activities and budgets.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • 5+ years of mechanical/electrical maintenance field experience. Navy or other military experience a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in evaluating and/or setting up equipment maintenance plans
  • Experience in asset intensive commercial and industrial environments to include oil/gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, metals, food and drug, and/or mining, preferably pharmaceutical
  • Comprehensive understanding of plant operations and expert in at least one area of plant operations and/or maintenance technology.
  • Must be able to establish professional and personal relationships with client organizations.
  • Ability to work as a team player and demonstrate personal initiative to complete the work of the team as a whole within rapidly changing business and contract conditions and priorities; must be able to manage to, and meet, tight deadlines.
  • Ability to understand prospective clients' business challenges for your given area of expertise, define a consultative solution and persuade prospective clients to choose LCE's solution above all others.
  • High comfort level working with multiple organizational levels within client and partner organizations.
  • Knowledgeable in systematic Change Management Practices and their integration in consultative solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of systematic Program Management Best Practices and their application in consultative solution engagements.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, share knowledge and develop others if area of expertise
  • Experience in deploying knowledge management utilizing a tool like SharePoint (customer success stories, reusable proposal content and graphics, resumes).
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and provide detailed follow-up.
  • Strong decision making ability while handling a high volume of work with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word and Excel software
  • Familiar with one of the following CMMS/EAM programs (maintenance modules)
    • SAP (preferred)
    • Maximo
    • INFOR
  • Experience in the following areas:
    • RCM assessment experience
    • PM/PdM technologies and development
    • Precision Maintenance
    • Lubrication Requirements
    • Asset Hierarchy
    • Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
    • Criticality Ranking
    • Bill of Materials requirements
    • Critical spares requirements
    • CMRP/SMRP certification a plus
Physical Demands and Expectations:
  • Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent periods of prolonged sitting may be required in both an industrial and office environment
  • Flexibility to travel approximately up to 70% of the time, depending on location
  • Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax, scanner and other office equipment.
