Responsible for the development and management of employee recognition and special events that enhances engagement, improves retention and boosts performance for Corporate, MDMC, MCMC, MRMC, MMMC, MSMC, MLMC, MCEL and MMG. Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System
Your Job Requirements:
•5-7 years of special events management experience
•Ability to function both as a collaborative member of a team and a self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
•Ability to communicate the impact and vision of the health system's programs
•Capable of managing multiple diverse projects, setting priorities, meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
•Excellent organizational, verbal, computer (Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel experience) and written abilities to effectively promote employee activities.
•Ability to make good decisions based on analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
•Strong interpersonal skills, ability to deal with a variety of personalities with calm professionalism.
•Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with all levels of staff, patients and family members.
•Highly motivated team player with positive attitude, approach and ensures fairness and consistency in actions.
Your Job Responsibilities:
•Creation, management and implementation of recognition and engagement initiatives for Methodist Health System (MHS). Oversight involves working closely with multiple external vendors to make purchasing decisions and maintaining relationships that best fit organizational needs.
•Responsibility for the development, monitoring and variance reporting for programs in excess of $1,000,000 annually.
•Oversight and management of campus specific recognition committees.
•Responsible for implementing strategies to drive current employees to social media recruitment sites to increase awareness and raise profile of MHS brand (i.e. Glassdoor, Indeed)
•Oversees all related monthly activities associated with employee service anniversaries.
•Creates, implements and publicizes all special events and recognition marketing materials. (i.e. flyers, MHS Spirit newsletter, email, digital signage).
•Responsible for driving current employees to social media recruitment sites to increase awareness and raise profile of MHS brand (i.e. Glassdoor, Indeed)
•Oversees employee discounts routinely seeking out new online tickets, establishing a network of vendors to provide additional discounts to our employees, the effectiveness of services and makes ongoing recommendations for improvement based on employee feedback.
•Manages and plans campus annual special events including MHS service awards, holiday receptions, GREAT awards, hospital appreciation week picnics, retirement receptions. Routinely monitors the effectiveness of events and makes ongoing recommendations for improvement based on employee feedback.
•Recruit, lead, communicate and ensure effective collaboration across event volunteers.
•Oversees and creates monthly Human Resources Newsletter.
•Oversees and promotes the peer-to-peer MHS Social eCard recognition platform.
•Coordinates and oversees the MHS Co-Ed Softball League.
•Completes other duties, special projects and events as assigned.
