Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate individual who will assist with driving excitement around the NRG corporate giving and volunteering efforts.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of programs, to support current and future NRG Community Engagement, philanthropic and social impact efforts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective Community Engagement activities to maximize: brand awareness and equity, growth, employee experience, and social impact objectives.
- Look for and create opportunities involving employee volunteer programs that support the community.
- Plan, coordinate logistics, and manage onsite community-related projects and events.
- Track donations and payments, process check requests and purchase orders, and follow up with partners.
- Track and follow up on key deliverables to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Work cross-functionally, as needed, to secure executive, legal, and other needed approvals.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily in an office environment.
- Some overtime is required as special projects arise and the ability to be onsite and in person at community events.
- Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferably in Business Management, Communications, Public Administration, Government, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Working knowledge and experience in Corporate Social Responsibility practices and policies with a minimum 2 years of experience in corporate social responsibility and/or related fields.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to research problems, apply analytical techniques, and follow issues through to resolution.
- Strong project management and facilitation skills; experience managing multiple projects, engaging stakeholders, driving accountability, and meeting deliverables within expected parameters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to provide high-level customer service to all levels of employees.
- Ability to positively interface with management, employees, corporate staff, and outside partners.
