We are currently seeking a part time Electrical Engineer for planning, design and construction assistance with our water, wastewater and SCADA groups. Design tasks will include electrical, controls and SCADA component design for water and wastewater facilities, street lighting and other public works projects. The position will include project management responsibilities. This position is based out of our Waukesha or Madison office with opportunity for a hybrid in-office/remote work arrangement.
Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- Supports multi-discipline projects as the lead electrical engineer. Electrical systems design expertise required in the areas of power distribution, lighting systems, instrumentation & controls and Water & Wastewater facility SCADA systems.
- Performs pricing, estimating, scoping and marketing strategies for proposed electrical projects, or the electrical portion of multi-discipline projects.
- Answers questions from contractors on electrical, control and SCADA components, during the construction process.
- Works with the SCADA Team to specify SCADA hardware and software, coordinate and supervise contractors for SCADA integration projects.
- Implements and monitors client relationship strategies.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience and/or abilities:
- Positive attitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, and high attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineering License in Wisconsin or ability to obtain one within two years.
- Team player and business minded
- Ability to learn and/or use Revit software
