Job Description
We are looking for an Office Receptionist to help maintain smooth doctor office operations. You will undertake a variety of activities in the office ranging from filing and answering the phone to basic bookkeeping. You must be reliable and hardworking with great communication skills. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel. Bilingual will be a plus and COVID vacination is required.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain office organization by filing documents and other medical information into patient’s charts and charts into cabinets.
• Maintain office cleanliness by following COVID cleaning procedures at the start and end of each shift (wiping down, empty/take out trash, UV lamp, etc.)
• Answer phone calls, take down and return all voicemail messages.
• Schedule appointments for current and new patients according to scheduling procedures noted in office manual.
• Complete prior authorizations.
• Process medical records requests according to office manual
• Process EOBs (scan and snipping) and invoice patient balances to be sent to patient.
• Check patients in at front desk, manage waiting room, copy physical prescriptions given and send in doctor’s prescription orders for virtual patients
• Collect co-payments/payments towards balances and update patient account balances (create/manage invoices—maintain records of payments).
