As a key leader in the Revenue Operations team, the Director of Sales Planning and Analytics will play a major role in driving the future success of the sales and go-to-market organization and in enabling the organization to scale and grow efficiently. This leader will provide strategic thought leadership, drive planning in collaboration with leaders across various functions and deliver analytics and insights to enhance decision making and make our go-to-market engine continuously better and more productive.
What you'll do:
- Work with leaders across sales, customer success, marketing and product to develop an aligned sales and go-to-market strategy and support the implementation of the operational elements of the strategy
- Set, align and govern an integrated and robust planning process across the go-to-market functions
- Drive the annual planning process across sales and in collaboration with marketing, customer success, finance and product, with deliverables including but not limited to goals and targets, budget, headcount and capacity plan, segmentation, coverage, role definitions, accounts and territory design, quotas, rules of engagement
- Develop the sales incentive strategy in conjunction with sales leadership to support the objectives of the global sales organization, drive the compensation plan design and work with finance on the implementation and communication of the plan
- Define, manage and communicate key metrics, performance reporting and the related cadence across sales and the wider go-to-market organization to measure sales and business performance
- Perform targeted analyses and develop actionable insights to improve performance and enhance decision making
- Work with operations leaders in other functions to develop one view of revenue engine performance through integrated metrics and an aligned cadence
- Support the development of programs and initiatives to drive productivity and the improvement of processes, policies and procedures
- Define, manage and continuously improve the forecast process and work with global sales leaders to provide an accurate forecast
- Partner with other operations leaders to create an effective, integrated and agile operations capability and drive continuous improvements
- Manage, coach and develop team members to help them grow their careers
What will you need to have?
- 10+ years of experience in sales operations, strategy, planning and analytics, with 3+ years of experience at a high-growth SaaS company and 3+ years in a people leadership role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to structure solutions to complex problems and translate business priorities and needs into plans, tactics and deliverables that can be implemented
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build alignment and buy-in across leaders in different functions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in an easily understandable way to various stakeholders
- Proficiency in handling data, including modeling and analysis (Excel, Google Sheets) and reporting of results (charts, slides, reports and dashboards)
- Knowledge of SaaS business models and associated metrics and KPIs
- Experience with Salesforce and BI/analytics tools (such as Tableau)
- Experience managing and mentoring a team of Sales operations professionals

"The estimated gross base annual salary range for this role is $150,000 – $312,000 per year in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, and Rhode Island. Actual compensation may vary and is dependent on various factors, including a candidate's work location, qualifications, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of Redis' total compensation and competitive benefits package, which may include 401(k), unlimited time off, learning and development opportunities, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits. This role may include discretionary bonuses, stock options, commuter benefits based on location, or a commission plan. Salary history is not used in compensation package decisions. Redis utilizes market pay data to determine compensation, so posted compensation ranges are subject to change as new market data becomes available."
